Improving Cellulite

Updated: Jun 13, 2023

No one likes the look of cellulite that’s one thing we can agree on, but can you do anything for improving cellulite and its appearance?

There are lots of creams and special ‘supplements’ shown in the media that say they can get rid of cellulite. But that isn’t always the case. Some products can improve the hydration and appearance of the skin, but to actually get rid of the problem that’s a different matter. Lots of people ask if there is something that will help to improve their cellulite and how! To understand how to improve it we need to firstly look at what cellulite is.

What is cellulite?

Two contributing factors in cellulite are the subcutaneous fat deposits and the connective fibres. Subcutaneous fat sits beneath the skin and protrudes deep into the dermis. As the fat cells increase in size the connective fibres within this layer are then strained and the fat then bulges through. This is what causes the skin to have the dimpled appearance we call cellulite.

The connective fibres start to loose elasticity as we age and stop holding the tissue smoothly in place. There are many factors that contribute to the cause of cellulite. The amount of body fat you have, the distribution of fat (genetics has an influence on this) skin thickness and the strength of your connective fibres all contribute to cellulite. You may not have all these things it may only be 1 or 2 but everyone’s cellulite occurs from these different factors.

Current ways to improve cellulite

There is very little evidence to back up the claims that creams or medications actually work to eliminate cellulite. Unfortunately, cellulite isn’t curable but there are some ways you can improve its appearance.

Exercise

Exercise is a big yes when it comes to improving cellulite. The more toned your muscles are the smoother your skin looks, thus eliminating those pesky dimples.

Eating healthy

In general, eating healthy is important, but it also plays a big role in improving cellulite. Yet, you will need to combine healthy eating and exercise together. When you lose weight your skin may be lax so cellulite may become more visible, which is why exercising is important as well.

Give up the cigarettes

Not only will giving up smoking help your general health it’ll help improve your cellulite. Cigarette smoke weakens the formation of collagen. This is the main structural component of connective tissue, when the connective tissue is weak this makes cellulite more visible.

What about surgery?

There are some surgical treatments that help to improve and even eliminate cellulite. Yet, they tend to be invasive treatments that cut the fibres that bind the skin to create the dimples. While some people don’t mind having an invasive treatment to get rid of their problem, lots of people would prefer a non-invasive, less expensive solution.

Endospheres Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that works on the whole body from head to toe. It reshapes the areas of the body where there are fat deposits that are difficult to eliminate, such as back, waist and thighs.

Can Endospheres Therapy help Cellulite?

Thanks to its five synergistic actions, it acts precisely on the causes of cellulite. It restores the body’s natural processes and rejuvenates the tissue helping the connective fibres strengthen. It considerably reduces the orange peel effect and smooths the tissue. And what makes it better is that it is totally non-invasive!
